COSTUME ASSISTANT /
ASSISTANT COSTUME DESIGNER

Rhianna is a London-based Costume Assistant and Assistant Costume Designer working across film and television. A graduate of Ravensbourne University in BA Fashion Design and a BTEC Level 3 in Fashion and Clothing, she combines technical garment knowledge with a strong passion for cinematic storytelling.

Her recent credits include The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, where she supported the costume department across makes management, budget tracking, fabric preparation and logging, fittings, and crowd costume line-ups. She has also worked on action productions as a Costume Assistant and previously gained experience in standby costume roles.

Originally inspired by the fashion industry, Rhianna developed an early fascination with avant-garde designers, particularly the Antwerp Six, and completed work placements with designers including AF Vandevorst. While studying design at film school, her focus naturally shifted towards costume for screen, taking every opportunity to collaborate on film projects and explore storytelling through design.

Her experience across design studio assistant, garment technician, and production assistant roles has given her a strong understanding of garment fitting, quality control, size grading, and the full production lifecycle. Throughout these roles, she has worked closely alongside designers, pattern cutters, and makers within collaborative creative teams.

Drawn to the physicality and visual world-building of cinema, Rhianna found her place within the costume industry through a passion for creating immersive characters and believable worlds. She is particularly interested in uniforms, armour, and stunt-safe costume design.

Calm under pressure, highly organised, and always equipped with a sewing kit, she brings both creativity and reliability to every production.
